I am an IT network engineer by profession. I have a loose software background from my university days, writing Linux shell scripts, and the occasional small project I have undertaken in the past. Now I want to seriously bone up on Java for Android to produce some games. I grew up with the early 8-bit home computers in the '80s and feel the simplicity of some of the games of that era would translate well to the mobile platform.
