Thyranthrene is een geslacht van vlinders uit de familie van de wespvlinders (Sesiidae), onderfamilie Sesiinae.
Thyranthrene is voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door George Francis Hampson in 1919. De typesoort is Lepidopoda obliquizona.[1]
