Pyrausta xanthothysana is een vlinder van de familie van de grasmotten (Crambidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld door George Francis Hampson in een publicatie uit 1903.
De soort komt voor in India (Sikkim).
