Podaxis is een geslacht van schimmels behorend tot de familie Agaricaceae. Het geslacht is beschreven door de Franse botanicus Nicaise Augustin Desvaux en in 1809 geldig gepubliceerd. De typesoort is Podaxis senegalensis.
