De Notopalaeognathae zijn een groep vogels behorend tot de Palaeognathae. Tot deze clade behoren de nandoes (Rheiformes), tinamoes (Tinamiformes) en moa's (Dinornithiformes), en de Novaeratitae.[1] De Notopalaeognathae zijn de zustergroep van de struisvogels.
