Histiotus macrotus is een zoogdier uit de familie van de gladneuzen (Vespertilionidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd door Poeppig in 1835.
Voorkomen
De soort komt voor in Chili en Argentinië.
