Athrotaxis is de botanische naam van een geslacht uit de cipresfamilie (Cupressaceae) en het enige in de onderfamilie Athrotaxidoideae. Het geslacht is endemisch in West-Tasmanië, alwaar ze op grote hoogte groeien in vochtig gematigd regenwoud.[1][2]
